Scenedesmus extract

Scenedesmus is a cosmopolitan unicellular microalga from the chlorophycae class and from the scenedemacae family. It is non-mobile, measuring approximately 5 to 30 micrometres in length and 8 to 10 micrometres in diameter. Scenedesmus thrives in wet areas with fresh or even brackish water.

It multiplies by forming groups of cells (4 in general) which are stuck to each other. Their shape is lunar ovoid. These cells contain chloroplasts, cytoplasm and a single nucleus.

Porphyderm® – Porphyridium Extract

Porphyridium is red microalgae of marine origin belonging to the Rhodophyta class. It does not have flagella and has a spherical or ovoid shape the size of 1-40 µm.

Its cells, of varying colours of red depending on age and culture conditions, are coated in a mucilaginous sheath of polysaccharides. Unlike plants, red microalgae have no real cell wall; their mucilage cover protects them from harsh environmental conditions such as heat or strong light. This is also how they are protected from attack due to salts.

Spiruderm® – Spirulina Extract

Spirulina is a cyanobacterium, or blue-green algae, belonging to the Arthrospira genus. The most common species are Spirulina maxima and Arthrospira platensis.

Spirulina contains around 60% protein in dry form. It is a source of antioxidants, strengthens the immune system and improves the tone and vitality of the body.

Concentrated sea water from the Salt Marshes of Guérande

The Marais Salants (Salt Marshes) of Guérande, a protected area classified Natura 2000, is an emblematic place for the traditional salt harvest in the West of France.

The seawater of the last salt evaporation basins, basins in which salt workers collect salt throughout the summer season, are the waters that are the most naturally concentrated in minerals and trace elements, including magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium.
