Agri-Food Key Accounts Manager – France and International
To support the development of AlgoSource, an innovative SME in the biotech sector whose know-how is based on deriving value from molecules of interest in microalgae by extraction, we are looking for a Key Accounts Manager, France & International, to commercialize its offer of products and solutions. This opportunity makes it possible to access the capital of the company and to be even more involved in the business project and its success.
Description of the position
Actor recognized worldwide for its ability to develop and market nutraceutical, cosmetic and health products, 100% natural and “Made in France” based on microalgae extracts, AlgoSource is looking for new talent for its sales department. You are responsible for supporting the development of commercial activities at the national, European and international levels, through building relationships with key accounts in the agri-food industry.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you actively participate in pursuing the company’s primary ambition, that of becoming, in particular, a major player in health through microalgae. After an audit of the situation, on the strength of your market knowledge of the agri-food industry, you define a commercial strategy (BtoB and BtoBtoB) that targets key accounts in the sector, in which the “health, prevention and/or wellness” dimensions are strong focuses of the marketing strategy.
With significant prospecting work, network development and presence at trade shows, you define a pragmatic development plan to generate short, medium- and long-term sales. In contact with your clients’ decision-makers (Development Directors, R&D Directors, Product Managers, Buyers, etc.) and/or distributors, you initiate constructive relationships and are responsible for identifying upstream projects for “new formulas” to position the know-how, solutions and/or products of high added value based on innovative bioactive extracts from AlgoSource.
For each project identified, by acting as a partner and project manager, you’ll initiate the right dynamic of collaboration with support from the technical teams (R&D). You are responsible for the sales process from the upstream phases to establishment of the deals and contracts. You monitor the work closely, which allows you to consolidate collaborations, identify new projects (co-development/white label) and generate additional sales.
To ensure follow-up of your commercial activities, you develop progress reports to have a view of forecasts by key account and geographic area, and define targeted short and medium-term action plans with a view to achieving the set objectives.
Holder of a Bac +4/5 (4/5 years of study after A-levels), ideally from an engineering school (e.g.: Agro ParisTech) or from a recognized Business School, you have at least 10 years’ of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in exports, ideally acquired in the sale of products/solutions to decision-makers from major accounts in the food industry (food supplements, ingredients, flavours, etc.). Convinced of the market potential of bio-active ingredients extracted from microalgae, after having started a career in large groups, you are motivated by the prospect of revealing your “intrapreneurial” temperament within the framework of a project on a human scale. Autonomous, open to international opportunities, adaptable and recognized for your interpersonal skills, you have the temperament of a business developer. As a field agent, you easily evolve in the sphere of decision-makers in the agri-food sector and benefit from the qualities to take a step back from situations, negotiate and convince. A reliable and involved person, you are fluent/bilingual in English, and another modern language would be appreciated. This position, which requires autonomy and travel, is based in western France.
